Vasanth Ravi, who plays Arjun Muthuvel Pandian, the son of Rajinikanth’s Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the Nelson directorial, penned a long note of gratitude
When you have a big star like Rajinikanth leading an ensemble cast, no doubt, he will remain the centre of attention. Director Nelson’s much-awaited Jailer released in theatres today and since morning, fans have been going ga-ga over the film, the Superstar’s ultimate swag, the cameos of stars like Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar, Anirudh’s music and, of course, Vinayakan’s outing as the main antagonist. One person who has not got much attention in the public domain, but around whose character much of Jailer revolves is Vasanth Ravi, who plays Rajinikanth’s son in the film.
In Jailer, the conflict with the bad guys arises owing to an investigation run by Vasanth, as police officer Arjun Muthuvel Pandian, the son of Rajinikanth’s Muthuvel Pandian . In a long note of gratitude to the team, Vasanth wrote that Jailer is one of the most significant milestones of his acting career. The doctor-turned-actor, who made his film debut with 2017’s Taramani, added that Jailer encapsulates the sheer dedication, patience, commitment, and determination that he cultivated over the years in the film industry.

Thanking director Nelson, Vasanth wrote, “Stepping into the role of Arjun Muthuvel Pandian, the son of the iconic Rajinikanth sir, in Jailer, feels like a blessed gift from the universe. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Nelson sir for his unwavering trust in me.” The actor also had a special note of gratitude to Rajinikanth for his constant encouragement and support since the inception of Vasanth’s career.
Every moment spent with Rajinikanth on set became an indelible memory in Vasanth’s life, with the Superstar’s teachings enriching not only his acting skills but also his understanding of humanity and life. “ While I've always addressed you as “Sir," today I find it as a blessing to call you "APPA" (father) Rajni pa 🤍My Rathamaarey in Reel and Real life…. I Love you so much pa and you have always been an inspiration to me” he wrote, quoting a line from Jailer.
