The Superstar's film is all set to drop on Prime Video on September 7
It looks like Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to lock horns with the Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan this week. While Rajinikanth's latest outing, the blockbuster Jailer will drop on Prime Video on September 7, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan will hit screens on the same day in theatres across the world.

Prime Video had recently made the announcement of Superstar Rajinikanth's film's OTT release on its social media handle today. "Jailer's in town, it's time to activate vigilant mode! #JailerOnPrime, Sept 7 (sic)." The film will drop in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which marks the debut of director Atlee, actress Nayanthara and music composer Anirudh Ravichander in Bollywood will drop in theatres. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrr is breaking box office records for its early sales in both domestic and international markets.
Jawan ready for a massive opening
Jawan has an ensemble cast which comprises Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Yogi Babu. Shah Rukh Khan is said to be playing a dual role in the film. The film, which is bankrolled by Red Chillies Entertainment, will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Jawan is currently on its way to beat the record of his last release, Pathaan, in which he played a spy. Jawan recently lit up the Burj Khalifa in Dubai on August 31 and was also screened on Times Square. The excitement around the film has reached a feverish pitch.
Jailer breaks all records
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's Jailer surpassed Rs 600 crore at the box office. The film's producer Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures had recently handed over cheques and keys to brand new luxury cars for the Superstar, director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The film has emerged as one of the biggest hits of Rajinikanth.
