Jailer on OTT: Watch Rajinikath's blockbuster in cinemas or wait for its release on streaming platform?

The song remains a top trend on social media and continues to inspire countless Instagram reels, with people trying to imitate Tamannaah Bhatia's graceful, yet peppy dance moves. Yet, the blockbuster movie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, will become available for streaming this week.

It has come as a bit of a shock that the producers, Sun Pictures, will be releasing Jailer on the streaming platform less than a month after its theatrical release. Many didn't expect the movie to make its digital debut so soon at a time when it continues to be a top choice for movie buffs in India and across the world.

Should you wait for the Jailer OTT release or watch it in cinemas?

Jailer is one of those movies that may not have the same impact if you watch it on your living room television or while travelling on an aeroplane. It's a mindless pop-cocoon blockbuster and most of its elements might miss to give you the intended experience if you watch it alone. This movie needs to be experienced in a packed theatre filled with fervour and celebration.

When will Jailer be released on OTT?

Rajinikanth's Jailer will become available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on September 7.

Written and directed by Nelson, Jailer also stars Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon and Yogi Babu.
