Jailer: Here's how much the Rajinikanth-starrer has amassed from overseas territories before the release

The release of Jailer is just four days away and the excitement is clearly visible among fans of Rajinikanth. Many of them have already grabbed tickets and are waiting to enjoy their matinee idol on the big screen on August 10. The movie's first day gross in Tamil Nadu is expected to be between 20 and 25 crores.

Had there been permission for the early morning shows to be screened, the numbers would have easily surpassed 30 crores. Fans of the Superstar hope that Jailer would outsmart Annaatthe's first day collection in the state.

The advance booking in overseas territories is impressive, with the US box office taking the lead compared to other locations. The collection there is expected to cross 1 million dollars before the release. Jailer is poised to take the biggest opening for an Indian film in the US in 2023.

A positive word of mouth is sure to shatter several records in various overseas locations. According to sources, the Nelson directorial has already amassed 10 crores from various overseas markets. The booking status in other states like Karnataka, Kerala and Telugu states, too, is encouraging. The film is currently having a clear lead over Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar in a few locations in the Telugu states.

We'll have to wait and see how much the Tollywood movie could hamper Jailer's prospects in the coming days. In Bollywood, the Rajini-starrer faces competition from Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 and Sunny Deol's Gaddar 2.
