Jaideep Ahlawat recently spoke about his interaction with Aamir Khan
Jaideep Ahlawat has revealed that he once froze while working with Shah Rukh Khan. This was on the sets of Raees, where Jaideep was starstruck after seeing the superstar. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of Jaane Jaan featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma.
What Jaideep said
News18 quoted Jaideep talking about working with SRK on the sets of Raees. He recalled how they were prepping for the scene from 9 am and when it was time for actual take, things changed. “King Khan became the actor King Khan and I suddenly became the audience. I forgot that I was an actor and I froze and was working almost 10 seconds late,” he shared. The actor remembered how it was the first and only time he felt so starstruck that he would take his time to take in the fact that she’s breathing the same air as SRK and then, he would react as expected of him.
What Jaideep played in Raees
Jaideep was seen in the role of Musa bhai’s assistant Nawab in the film. Narendra Jha played the role of Musabhai, who is a crime boss that helps Raees Alam (SRK) for a brief period of time. Raees and Nawab come face-to-face in a few scenes in the movie.
Jaideep on the other Khan of Bollywood
During his recent interaction with Humans of Bombay, Jaideep recalled how he got a call from another Khan – Aamir Khan. Back when Paatal Lok released, Jaideep was getting a lot of calls for three days continuously to congratulate him. The actor was often in tears. On the third day, when he was on a video call with his friends, Jaideep got a text from Aamir Khan claiming that he would like to talk to the actor. Jaideep, stunned for a bit, then responded and Aamir Khan called him instantly, only to insist they have a video interaction. On the video call, Aamir asked Jaideep about how he prepared for the character of Hathi Ram for the web series.
Jaideep will now be seen in The Devotion of Suspect X adaptation – Jaane Jaan. He plays a teacher named Naren in the Sujoy Ghosh directed film. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma in the lead roles.
Apart from that, Jaideep co-incidentally will be working alongside Aamir’s son Junaid in his debut film, Maharaj. Backed by YRF, the film is helmed by Siddharth Malhotra. Jaideep also stars opposite Saif Ali Khan in Siddharth Anand’s untitled film, which will see Jaideep as the antagonist. Both the movies, much like Jaane Jaan, will release on Netflix.
