English series Guilt is getting an Indian adaptation and two of the talented actors are teaming up for it. Yes, we are talking about Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The mystery drama is yet to be titled and is being developed by Aditya Birla Group's Applause Entertainment. For the initiated, the original series Guilt features Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sivesi while the story is about two estranged brothers.
Both Jaideep and Zeeshan will be playing onscreen brothers in the series and their characters are named Jaggi and Daljeet. Talking about the synopsis, the makers described it as - The elder brother Jaggi is someone who enjoys the comfort of a wealthy and leads a seemingly perfect life. Whereas the younger one Daljeet struggles to survive running a vintage book shop which is also a cafe. But things take a turn and their lives get pinned out of control when a tragic accident occurs. Thus distrust starts enveloping their lives which create a rift between them as well as everyone around.
Filmmaker Shaad Ali who is the creator of the show said in a statement, "Guilt is a series that promises a perfect mix of a well-crafted story and stupendous actors."
He called the series highly engaging and said it oscillates between the nuances of brotherhood, suspicion and consequences of choice.

The series will stream in six episodes and also features Tina Desai, Shruti Seth, Maya Alagh, Mugdha Godse and Satish Kaushik in supporting roles.
The streaming platform is yet to be announced while this is not the first time an international show is adapted for the Indian audience.
Other shows are namely Call My Agent, Criminal Justice, Rudra - The Edge of Darkness which is the adaptation of Luther. It is also being reported that Hrithik Roshan will be starring in the Indian adaptation of The Night Manager.
