The makers of the Malayalam upcoming web series, Jai Mahendran have dropped its trailer days ahead of its online debut. The trailer provides an overview of the main characters and genre of the project. It has been officially announced that the web series starring Saiju Kurup, which was originally scheduled for release in February this year, will be available for streaming on Sony LIV starting on October 11.

The one-minute-and-55-second video provides a glimpse of the life of Saiju Kurup's character, Mahendran, a cunning revenue office worker who uses powerplay and connections inside the system to accomplish his goals. Suresh Krishna and Suhasini seem to be his superiors in the office. Mahendran's wife, played by Miya George, appears to be doubting his methods of work.

In the trailer, Mahendran is seen engaging in the same powerplay when his independence at work is restricted and his morality is questioned by his superiors. A small peek into his attempts to keep his job and mend his reputation by taking advantage of the system is also shown in the clip. The main intrigue of the web series is whether Mahendran can carry out his intricate scheme. It undoubtedly alludes to the first political satirical web series in Malayalam.

Jai Mahendran to stream on Sony LIV

Starting on October 11, it is expected that the political satire will be accessible on the online platform in multiple languages, apart from Malayalam. The web series was originally scheduled to launch in February of this year, but it was postponed for unknown reasons. The web series' director is Srikanth Mohan. The script for Jai Mahendran was written by Rahul Riji Nair. Additionally, he is playing a prominent role in this web series. Suhasini, Suresh Krishna, Johny Antony, Jeo Baby, Miya, Balachandran Chullikad, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vishnu Govindan, Sidhartha Siva, Appunni Sasi, Zhins Shan, and Renjit Shekhar all play significant roles in this political drama.
