Another Malayalam web series has made its way to the digital space. The highly-anticipated political satire, which stars Saiju Kurup in the lead role, is now available on Sony LIV. It was made available one day before its release date on October 11.

In addition to Malayalam, the web series is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Bangla on the digital platform. This is Sony LIV's first original Malayalam web series. It was originally scheduled to debut in February of this year, but it was postponed for unclear reasons. Antakshari, the movie starring Saiju Kurup, is likewise accessible via the same streaming platform. This investigative thriller was well-received after its 2022 direct-to-OTT release. Jai Mahendran, Sony LIV's first original Malayalam web series
The show centres on Saiju Kurup's character Mahendran, who is a revenue department employee and a pro at maneuvering power and influence inside the bureaucratic system. Regaining the influence he once held presents Mahendran with a new problem, though, as the system he previously controlled begins to work against him. The main question of the web series is whether he will be able to outwit the system or succumb to the very powers he once wielded.
The web series' director is Srikanth Mohan. Rahul Riji Nair, known for films like Keedam and Kho-Kho, wrote the screenplay for Jai Mahendran. He plays a major role in this web series as well. Suhasini, Miya, Suresh Krishna, Johny Antony, Balachandran Chullikad, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vishnu Govindan, Sidhartha Siva, Appunni Sasi, Zhins Shan, and Renjit Shekhar all play important parts in this political drama.
