After seven long years of not doing an action movie, Unni Mukundan announced that he will now be starring in one with Marco.
Unni Mukundan talked about his reluctance to commit to action film for seven years in an interview with OTTplay. He expressed his intense desire to shed his past persona as an action hero from a few years ago.
"Choosing not to work on films where I feel my strengths lie was a tough decision. I believed that, as an actor, I ought to challenge myself more and take on a variety of roles. Fortunately, it was effective for me,” he remarked.

After seven long years of not doing an action movie, the young star announced that he will now be starring in one with Marco. He is set to return to the role of Marco Jr. a stylish villain who first appeared in Haneef's 2019 film Mikhael.
“It is going to be the most violent Malayalam movie ever produced. I am excited to get to work on it. We have some exciting parts in the project, and I had a thorough discussion about it with Haneef," Unni stated.
He went on to say that the movie will be more violent than audiences could have ever imagined and that he preferred to think of it as a celebration of violence.

"We do not want to reduce any sequences because we fear a fallout from any side," he said. The actor continued by saying that Marco will serve as a decent and expertly choreographed project, and he had been wanting to make a really good action movie for a while.
The public is giving Unni Mukundan's most recent film, Jai Ganesh, which debuted in theatres on April 11, favourable reviews. The actor stated that after seeing his performance in the 2022 film Shefeekkinte Santhosham, director Ranjith Sankar called him for this role in Jai Ganesh. Unni Munkundan appears in the role of a paraplegic designer in this superhero fantasy film.
