Jai Ganesh directed by Ranjith Sankar is a fantasy drama and Unni Mukundan plays the role of a paraplegic designer
Malayalam star Unni Mukundan’s upcoming fantasy drama titled Jai Ganesh is going to arrive at theatres on April 11. The Malikappuram star took to his social media handles to share the exciting announcement. The actor captioned the new post, “Mark your calendar. You are that Superhero, you have been waiting for. Ji Ganesh on April 11, 2024.”(sic).
The Malayalam film, directed by Ranjith Sankar, will be released on the weekend of Vishu festival.
According to sources, Unni Munkundan is all set to essay the role of a paraplegic designer named Ganesh Gangadharan who fights with his inner demons and wants to be treated normally like others amid overbearing sympathy. According to the makers of the film, Jai Ganesh is set against fantasy elements. According to Ranjith, it is “an extremely demanding script that traverses between reality and imagination.” Earlier, Unni Mukundan had revealed that his character in the film is one of the most challenging roles he has essayed so far. The film is a superhero movie that is based on reality and fantasy.
Although many fans are excited to watch this film, some of the netizens felt that the actor is clinging onto religious themes to obtain box office success. Nevertheless, we may have to wait for the film’s release to know more!

Malayalam actress Jomol, who was last seen in 2017 film Careful, will be making her comeback in this Unni Mukundan-starrer. The actress will be essaying the role of a criminal lawyer. RDX fame actress Mahima Nambiar will be playing the female lead opposite Unni Mukundan. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Hareesh Peradi, Ashokan, Ravindra Vijay and Nandu in supporting roles.

Cinematographer Chandru Selvaraj, composer Sankar Sharma, sound designer Tapas Nayak and editor Sangeeth Prathap are part of the technical team of Jai Ganesh.
Apart from Jai Ganesh, the actor will also appear in medical drama Get-Set Baby, fantasy drama Gandharva Jr, Tamil film Karuden and gangster thriller Marco.
