The film Jai Bhim has received all praises since its release on November 2. The Suriya starrer legal drama went on to become one of the popular movies among Indians this year, as per IMDb rating. The film has been appreciated not just by fans and other celebrities but also by critics and politicians. And now the latest to join the bandwagon is the director, Shankar.

Shankar recently watched the film and wrote a note on his social media, sharing his thoughts about how the film gives a voice to the voiceless and called it a hard-hitting emotional rollercoaster. Over a month after its release, the filmmaker wrote on his Facebook post that the film is 'nerve-racking and commendable'. He even praised Suriya for his compassion towards society and for bringing out such an impactful film with subtlety. He further wrote, "It has been proven again, that a powerful film can bring an enormous change."

The film is a courtroom drama inspired by real-life incidents that took place in Tamil Nadu in the 1990s. It talks about caste discrimination and human rights of the Irular community who could not stand up against the police brutality. The film is also said to be among the most-searched films on Google in India.
