Actor Jagadish described himself as an emotionally burdened and vulnerable father in Jeethu Joseph's upcoming film Neru. He went on to say that he is currently being called upon to act serious characters.

"I have been fortunate to receive offers for a variety of roles. I am now being offered mature characters, primarily those of fathers. I really enjoy the opportunity to play father figures with a variety of personalities. My role in Neru is entirely distinct from the father I portrayed in Falimy," he said.

He continued by saying that the viewer would have sympathy for the character who is striving to get justice. “I think I have been able to put up a subtle act in this role,” he said.

Jagadish’s recent film was a family entertainer, Falimy, in which he played Basil Joseph’s father. The movie is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on December 15. The actor had a busy 2023 with a few releases, including Purusha Pretham, Pookkaalam, and Ayalvaashi.

Working with Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph

The actor claimed that the gripping factor of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s work together drew him to work on the film. Speaking at a Neru promotional event in Kochi, Jagadish said, "With his unique storytelling approach, Jeethu has made a significant impact in the industry, and Antony Perumbavoor knows exactly what kinds of roles will best highlight Mohanlal's stardom and acting finesse for the public."

He also discussed Mohanlal's ability to embody a character, paying attention to minor aspects like persona changes and eye expressions. “Even when I didn't have a scene, I would watch the courtroom shoots from a corner. Viewers will enjoy the court scenes featuring Mohanlal and Priyamani,” he said.
