Iyer in Arabia theatrical release date: When to watch this Mukesh, Urvashi’s family entertainer

Iyer in Arabia is all set to hit the big screen this Friday (February 2) across Kerala. The film, which is directed by Vairam fame's M A Nishad, features Mukesh, Urvashi, and Dhyan Sreenivasan in lead roles.
Mukesh plays the protagonist, Sreenivasa Iyer, who left a government job on his own volition, while Urvashi is Jhansi Rani, his wife and a history professor. Dhyan Sreenivasan plays their son, Rahul.

The trailer of Iyer in Arabia, which was released on January 26 looks to be a fun-filled family film that follows Sreenivasa Iyer and his family as they move to Dubai. Both the teaser and trailer shed light on the characteristics of Sreenivasa Iyer, such as his conventional parenting approach and way of thinking.
The film, dubbed a ‘sarcastic family treat’ in the trailer, aims to fully explore the rapport and timely humour between Mukesh and Urvashi. His life takes an unexpected but hilarious turn when he and his wife choose to move to Dubai after their son gets a job there. The main focus of the film is Iyer's observations, the lessons he learned from the time he spent in this new city, and how they enabled him to alter his traditional viewpoint.
The film also includes Shine Tom Chacko, Durga Krishna, Maniyanpillai Raju, Jaffer Idukki, Sudheer Karamana, Sunil Sukhada, Uma Nair, Divya M Nair, Prajod Kalabhavan, Alencier, and Biju Sopanam in prominent roles. Vignesh Vijayakumar has produced the film under Wealth i Productions’ banner. Anand Madhusoodanan has composed the soundtracks for this movie.
Director calls Iyer in Arabia a good family entertainer
The director, M A Nishad, wrote both the dialogue and the screenplay for Iyer in Arabia. According to the director, this will be an enjoyable family drama with heartfelt moments and spontaneous humour. He had also mentioned in an interview with OTTplay that Iyer in Arabia has a lot of funny elements that parody the antiquated thinking that still exists today.
