The advance booking collection of both movies reveal the tough competition they give each other.
The most awaited Marvel superhero film, Eternals and the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, are set to lock horns for a tough fight at the box office. Both the films have released on November 5, 2021, and both will stand equal with advance booking collections estimated at around Rs 2 crore nett.
According to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com, even though the ticket sales for the cop drama have surpassed Eternals, the latter has made up for the number game as the ticket rates are comparatively high.
When Sooryavanshi will be having a wider release all over the country, Eternals will only have limited shows and lesser screens in multiplex chains. Despite the limit, the big Hollywood release has had a very good number of records until now, from the advanced bookings.
Further reports reveal that the advance bookings of Sooryavanshi are mostly from places where the ticket prices are low. Also, most of those theatres are opening up again after 18 months of shutting down. The graph shows a sudden growth in Gujarat and UP, which is expected to rise more by Friday.
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi’s box office numbers have a high chance of growing further over the weekend. Yet, Eternals will find it tough, as they have to rely on the national chains across the country which are opening up.

However, the expectations towards both the movies are at their peak, as Rohit Shetty is about to give the fourth instalment to his most celebrated Cop Universe, and MCU is introducing a brand-new superhero team to the list. Shetty’s movie will reunite Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, and will also bring the extended cameos of Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in their reprise roles from Simmba and Singham. The Eternals will have a surprising alien superteam, who are ready to fight against The Deviants following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
