Netflix is certain to have an eventful July with the viewership it'll have for its Telugu content. Within the first 10 days of the month, Netflix has as many as three big Telugu releases - Virata Parvam, Major and Ante Sundaraniki. While Rana Daggubati-Sai Pallavi's action romance Virata Parvam has released on July 1, Adivi Sesh's biopic of armyman Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major, too had its OTT premiere today. Now, the streaming platform has announced that Nani, Nazriya's rom-com Ante Sundaraniki will release on Netflix on July 10.
Ante Sundaraniki, written and directed by Vivek Athreya, had hit theatres on June 10 and witnessed a modest response at the ticket window. The film, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, had music by Vivek Sagar and cinematoraphy by Niketh Bommi. Raviteja Girijala was the editor. The supporting cast of the film included Rohini, Nadhiya, Alagan Perumal, Naresh, Aruna Bhikshu, Harshavardhan, Rahul Ramakrishna and others in addition to a special appearance by Anupama Parameswaran.
The light-hearted entertainer tells the story of a youngster Sundar Prasad, who hails from a conservative Brahmin family. The family and their conservatism often come in the way of his dreams. He has a childhood sweetheart Leela Thomas, who aspires to be a photographer. The film, apart from Telugu, released simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam languages as well. Ante Sundaraniki will be available on Netflix in all the three languages. This is Nani's consecutive release on Netflix after the romantic drama Shyam Singha Roy that also starred Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty. The actor's next theatrical release is Dasara, directed by debutant Srikanth Odela.
