It is official! Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor has been cast opposite Ram Charan in the upcoming Telugu film which is tentatively titled RC 16. The makers of the film made the announcement on social media on Wednesday for the occasion of Janhvi's birthday. With RC 16, it will be Janhvi's second project in Telugu. The actress has finished shooting for the Junior NTR-starrer Devara.

Strong speculations had been doing the rounds that Janhvi Kapoor will be starring opposite actor Ram Charan in the latter’s upcoming film RC 16. While the Janhvi's father and producer Boney Kapoor had earlier revealed that it is true, the makers of RC 16, on Wednesday, officially confirmed her presence in the film.

RC 16 will mark Janhvi’s second project in the south and Telugu in particular. It is to be noted that the actor has already shot for her portions in the upcoming film Devara, co-starring RRR-fame actor Junior NTR. It is interesting to note that after working with Junior NTR, Janhvi will be working with another RRR actor, Ram Charan for RC 16.
About RC 16
RC 16 is helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. Touted to be a pan-Indian project, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas.

The music for RC 16 will be scored by AR Rahman. The details on the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon. It is rumoured that Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar will be playing a supporting role in the film. However, his presence is yet to be officially confirmed. Ratnavelu, who shot Devara, Indian 2, will be cranking the camera for RC 16.
Meanwhile, Janhvi who made a special appearance in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, has Ulajh and Mr and Mrs Mahi in the making in Hindi. The actor had previously expressed her happiness in working in the south industry and had said that it holds a special relevance to her as this brings her closer to her roots.
