The team of Sivakarthikeyan's Don recently celebrated the success of the film with a private party. Pictures of the celebrations are doing the rounds on the internet. The entire team is seen in blue and are seen cutting a cake together. The film's production house shared the pictures of the celebrations, "Blockbuster celebrations for namma #DON 🥳🎉🎊 Thank you all for this huge reception and response ♥️#DONBlockbuster @Siva_Kartikeyan @KalaiArasu_ @Udhaystalin @LycaProductions @RedGiantMovies_ @Dir_Cibi @anirudhofficial @priyankaamohan @iam_SJSuryah @thondankani @sooriofficial (sic)."

The film's director Cibi Chakaravarthi, too, thanked the audience for making the film a success, and wrote on his social media page,"#DonBlockbusterCelebration🙏🙏Thanks to the audience who made it possible ❤️🙏 (sic)."

Don is a campus comedy caper starring Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead. SJ Suryah plays the antagonist in it. The film marks the directorial debut of Cibi Chakravarthi and the star cast also includes Soori, Samuthirakani, Sivaangi, RJ Vijay, and Munishkanth. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander.

Sivakarthikeyan had taken to his social media page to wish the director on his maiden venture. He had written, "Excited and extremely happy to present you #DON ❤️ @Dir_Cibi ‘s maiden directorial venture, hope you all wil lik this film.. DON is all yours now ❤️❤️👍 #DONfromToday (sic)." The film hit screens on May 13.

The film has been extensively shot across Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Pollachi and Udumalpettai. Music is for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. Cinematography is by KM Bhaskaran and editing is Nagooran Ramachandran. The film, which released in Tamil and Telugu (as College Don) is running is running to packed houses.

The film distributed by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu, is considered to be the second biggest opener for Sivakarthikeyan after Seemaraja which released in 2018. The film has received favourable reviews from the audience and critics.
