Samantha is basking in the rave reviews, love and affection for her character Khatija in her latest outing Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The actress took to her social media page to thank the film's director Vignesh Shivan for the role.

Stating that comedy is her favourite genre and that it is always special when she gets to play a role that allows her to be who she is, Samantha wrote, "Khatija ❤️ Thankyou @wikkiofficial for letting me have fun with the role . Comedy is my favourite genre and it’s always extra special when I get to play a role that allows me to be who I truly am (aka the funny girl).You delivered more than you promised and I will always be grateful ♥️Thankyou @jukalker 💕 @sadhnasingh1 @koduruamarnath 💕I love you ♥️ (sic)."

It was only recently that the actress sent out a video message to her fans thanking them for all the love and appreciation showered on her and her character Khatija. She stated, "Thank you, guys for the overwhelming response for Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. It means the world to me. I wish I was there to see all you guys enjoy the film, but the response and all of your messages and the tweets mean the world to me. Thank you so much."

Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is a romantic comedy that revolves around a man who is in love with two women at the same time. The lead star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha. Samantha had recently heaped praise on her co-stars. She said that there is no one like Nayanthara and called the actress real, fiercely loyal, and one of the most hard-working people she has met. On Vijay Sethupathi, she said that she had waited long to work with him and that it was totally worth it.
