Ishq Vishk Rebound is a reboot of Shahi Kapoor and Amrita Rao starrer film Ishq Vishk which was released in 2003. The film stars Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Naila Grrewal, and Jibraan Khan in the lead roles. The trailer of the film was released by the makers today, on June 11, 2024, and as predicted, it follows love, friendship, and a lot in the middle.

The trailer starts with two cute couples - Rohit and Naila and Pashmina and Jibraan. However, when they break up, things get ugly as it becomes a battle of friendship and love. The film looks exactly like Shahid-Amrita's film but in a more modern and millennial way. After breaking up with their respective partners, the love crosses paths with the friends, and hence the love angle between Rohit and Pashmina starts as they realise they are attracted to each other.
The trailer also has two iconic dialogues – “pyar dosti hai” from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and “ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nahi hote" from Maine Pyar Kiya. Along with a few new songs, the trailer of the film also features a few songs from the original film - Ishq Vishk which are composed by Anu Malik. Watch the trailer below:
Earlier, at an event, Rohit Saraf said, "Ishq Vishk Rebound is not a remake or sequel of Ishq Vishk. The thing common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. But it’s a new story altogether, a love story about Gen Z.”

Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani and is directed by Nipun Avinash Sharmadhikari, a Marathi filmmaker who's now making his Bollywood directorial debut. The film stars Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Naila Grrewal, and Jibraan Khan in the lead roles. The movie marks the debut of Pashmina, who is the cousin of actor Hrithik Roshan. She is the daughter of music composer Rajesh Roshan. It releases in cinemas on June 21, 2024.
