Ram Charan's next with Buchi Babu Sana gets a title? Here's what we know

Post the debacle of Game Changer, Ram Charan is now doing a film in the direction of Buchi Babu Sana. A new title for the film is making the rounds. Read to learn more.

Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, which ended up as a major flop at the box office. Despite earning over ₹150 crore, the film incurred losses of nearly ₹100 crore. Producer Dil Raju also faced IT raids for making such a high-budget film and marketing it as a ₹400 crore project.

Ram Charan's next gets a new title

On the other hand, Ram Charan has moved on to his next film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The shoot has now shifted to Hyderabad, with most of the filming taking place at night as the makers are currently shooting a cricket match sequence.

Reports suggest that the makers are considering Power Cricket as the film’s title. Initially, it was rumored that the film would be titled Peddi, after Ram Charan’s character. However, in recent days, significant changes have been made to the script, and since cricket plays a crucial role in the story, Power Cricket has emerged as the frontrunner for the title.

RC16 is a sports drama based on THIS game

Touted to be a sports drama, RC16 features music by A.R. Rahman. Ram Charan will sport a new look in the film, which is being produced on a massive scale by Mythri Movie Makers. Janhvi Kapoor has been cast as the female lead, and the movie is set for release by the end of 2025.

Director Buchi Babu Sana made his debut with the super hit Uppena, starring Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty. Landing a project with Ram Charan for his second film is a significant achievement for him. Known for crafting intense dramas, fans are eager to see what he has in store for Ram Charan’s audience.

The film’s backdrop was unintentionally revealed by cinematographer Rathnavelu, who shared a glimpse of the sets along with the hashtag Power Cricket.
