The prolific filmmaker Priyadarshan is reportedly all set to join hands with Akshay Kumar for a fantasy horror film
If you have lived through the nineties era or must have heard about the era through someone, then, chances are very bright that you must have heard about the impeccable hit jodi of the inimitable actor Akshay Kumar and the prolific filmmaker Priyadarshan. Together, they both have been jointly responsible for not just bringing smiles to millions of faces through their films but also for setting the box office windows on fire through their unmatchable level of entertainment quotient.
For all those who were missing the trademark magic of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, here is some good news that you had been waiting for for many years now. The good news is that the hit combo of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar have now joined hands for a horror fantasy with humour, as per a report in Hindustan Times.
The said report had the filmmaker stating that he was now done with his docu-series on the Ram Mandir’s history. Post that, he will start the work on his most important film with Akshay Kumar, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor. Elaborating about the said film, he said that, unlike the psychological thriller Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the upcoming film (with Akshay Kumar) will be fantasy, in the backdrop of magic, which he termed as the oldest superstition of India.
While on the topic of working with Akshay Kumar, the filmmaker said that it has always been a pleasure collaborating with Akshay and that, from their first film to the present one, it had always turned out well with him as he handled the emotions so well. He also added that he was waiting for a good subject to get back with Akshay Kumar, and the upcoming film would be that.
For the uninitiated, the magical jodi of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar together delivered some of the massive hits at the box office in the form of Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. While talking about sequels, he expressed his displeasure over making one by saying that, he, somehow, does not like to do sequels.
