The film is likely to premiere on ZEE5.
According to the latest reports, Shah Rukh Khan's production company, Red Chilies Entertainment, is maintaining their relationship with ZEE5 after Bob Biswas as their next film, Love Hostel, is also going direct to digital. The Shanker Raman-directed film will have an OTT debut in February, starring Vikrant Massey, Sanya Malhotra, and Bobby Deol as the main antagonist.
According to a source close to the project, the decision was made to guarantee that the thriller reaches its target demographic as effectively as possible. The source told Pinkvilla that Love Hostel is a film that is driven by the content, and the box office is still rebounding. Thus, the creators have decided to release it on OTT so that viewers can watch it at their leisure. The source also added that the team is confident in the film's ability to deliver positive results, similar to that of Bob Biswas.
According to rumours, Bobby Deol's performance as the adversary in Love Hostel is the film's highlight, and the crew has kept his appearance secret. The film began filming in February 2021 and was completed in July of that year. Producers Gauri Khan, Manish Mundra, and Gaurav Verma developed this one-of-a-kind crime thriller.
Aside from Love Hostel Shah Rukh's banner is also working on Darlings, which is now in the post-production stage. The film marks Alia Bhatt's debut as a producer, and she also features as the lead star. Darlings also has Shefali Shah, Vijay Verma, and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles.
This is the first time Vikrant and Sanya are staring in Red Chilies Entertainment films together with Love Hostel. While Bobby Deol starred in Class of 83 which is a Netflix release.
The release date of the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
