The psychological thriller is directed by debutant Tarun Teja and marks Vimala Raman's comeback
If all goes well, it looks like a sequel to the psychological thriller Asvins is in the offing. During a recent interaction with the press, the film's lead actor Vasanth Ravi said, " I think it meets all the criteria for a sequel. Now, it's in the hands of the producers. Let's wait for an official announcement, he said.

Talking about his role in the film, the actor said, "Asvins is an important film in my career after Taramani and Rocky. After both films, I was wondering what kind of film I needed to take up after that. Interestingly, a horror film was never part of the plan. But when the film's director Tarun Teja narrated the script to me, I was impressed and decided to give it a go-ahead."
He added, "I began shooting for the film, soon after Rocky. I struggled a lot for my role. The only regret is that Tarun and I had hoped that the film would get a U/A certificate, but we had to make do with a U certificate. I had hoped that the film would reach children as they are constantly bound by negativity on their cellphones. But it's the fear factor in the film that got it A certificate as it's too scary to watch the film alone."
Vasanth Ravi also dropped a video of how theatres decided to increase the shows for the film and the team's reaction. He wrote on his social media handle, "Dear Audience This is what your support can do for this small team. Only you, as an audience, have this power. Your support strengthened the belief in our years of hardwork. From the depths of our hearts, thank you for all the love! #Asvins marches on towards weekend No. 2, with gratitude (sic)! "
