Irul on OTT: Aha Tamil to stream Tamil version of Fahadh Faasil’s mystery thriller very soon

Irul, the 2021 Malayalam mystery thriller film starring Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir and Darshana Rajendran in the lead roles, will be soon available in Tamil. Streaming platform Aha Tamil has bagged the rights, with a premiere date soon to be announced.

Irul to come in Tamil on OTT

Fahadh Faasil who has proved his versatile by now, had appeared in the 2021 Malayalam film titled Irul. The film is a mystery thriller, directed by Naseef Yusuf Izuddin in his directorial debut. The film released through Netflix. However, streaming platform Aha announced that the Tamil version of the film will soon premiere. A release date is yet to be announced. It will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

Irul stars Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir and Darshana Rajendra in the lead roles. The film revolves around a couple who take a trip but their car soon breaks down, making them take shelter at a nearby house. They find a stranger in the house with a suspicious behaviour. Fahahdh Faasil plays the mysterious stranger, with Soubin and Darshana play the couple.

The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph Film Company and Plan J Studios. The technical crew consists of Jomon T. John cranking the camera and Shameer Muhammed handling the edits. Sreerag Saji has scored the music.

Aha Tamil has been expanding its Tamil content slate in the recent times. Aha Tamil also offered to stream Malayalam film Nizhal starring Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in Tamil as Maya Nizhal.

The streaming platform has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of many 2024 Tamil releases.
