Amazon MiniTV unveiled the trailer of their upcoming show, Industry. The makers gave us more information on what will take place on the show through the short video. The latest offering features Chunky Pandey, Gagan Arora and Asha Negi in the lead roles. Here’s everything else you wanted to know about it…
What is Industry all about?
Like the name suggests, the show is about what happens inside the film industry. It explores the aspect of filmmaking, over acting in projects. The story is about an aspiring filmmaker Ayush Varma who is stuck in the process of writing scripts for movies, which also get unnoticed. He writes scripts for others to earn money, and is now at the stage where he wants to break out of the loop and make it big on his own. The series also touches upon the topic of nepotism and how the industry is ruthless to others working in it.
The trailer
The trailer showcases how Ayush’s script Dhoom Dhadaka is finally getting noticed among industry insiders but no actor wants to work on the film. Thus, he goes to everybody in his contact to pick up the script and start work on it.
Cast of the show
Gagan Arora is seen in the lead role of the writer, Ayush Varma. Ankita Goraya plays his close friend, while Lakshya Kochhar plays a star son who comes across Ayush but at a wrong time.
Asha Negi plays the actress Sanya, who seems to share a chemistry with Ayush. Chunky Pandey is seen as a filmmaker. The series also sees Abhishek Banerjee and Kunal Kapoor in important scenes. It hints at Ananya Panday’s cameo too.
Oscar-winner (as she calls her own self on the show) Guneet Monga and Hansal Mehta also make a cameo on the show. The series also stars Jitendra Singh Rajput and Samarth Shandilya in pivotal roles.
Release date and time
Industry will be out on Amazon MiniTV. The confirmed release date for the show is June 19. While the time of the release is still uncertain, it is likely to be between 11 am-12 pm.
