The movie, directed by Rojin Thomas and produced by Vijay Babu, also has Sreenath Bhasi, Manju Pillai and Naslen as part of the cast,
Veteran actors Delhi Ganesh and Mamukkoya have managed to steal the show in the last two South OTT releases – Navarasa and Kuruthi, respectively. With Amazon Prime Video’s next Onam release #Home, Malayalam actor Indrans will be looking to continue the trend.
The actor plays a technologically-challenged father in the feel-good entertainer, helmed by Rojin Thomas, who had earlier co-directed Phillips and the Monkey Pen and helmed Manju Warrier’s Jo and The Boy.
In a statement to the streaming platform, Indrans, who has been active in the Malayalam film industry for over 40 years and has acted in more than 400 films, talked about how he has seen the industry change.
“The only way to stay relevant in the industry is to adapt to the changes and go with the flow. When it comes to work, I am not rigid, nor do I have any demands from my directors or writers,” said the veteran actor, who began his career as a costume designer before venturing into acting.
In the initial phase of his career, Indrans had mostly played comedy roles, but in the recent years, he has made a successful transition into a character actor with films such as Aalorukkam and Velukakka Oppu Ka.
The actor also mentioned that he enjoys working with the young generation of actors. “In fact, there’s so much that I get to learn from these young and budding artistes,” he said.

#Home, which is backed by actor-producer Vijay Babu, is arguably Indrans’ first lead role in a commercial movie and the State Award-winning actor said that he is glad that the makers of the movie considered him for the part.
KPAC Lalitha, Aju Varghese, Sreenath Bhasi, Naslen and Manju Pillai are some of the other actors in the film, which will release on Amazon Prime Video on August 19.
