Akshay Kumar will appear in the grand finale of Vidyut Jammwal's action reality show, India's Ultimate Warrior on Discovery+. Ahead of his presence, the star took to his social media pages and shared a promo video from the show.

The actor captioned the video, stating, "I was nine when I started practising martial arts, and I owe everything I am today to this art form. In #IndiasUltimateWarrior, it was heartwarming to see the 16 warriors who were ready to give their blood and sweat to become India’s ultimate warriors."

In response to a question regarding his appearance, Akshay had earlier said in a statement that he began training in martial arts when he was nine years old, and he owes all his success today to this art form. When the show's producers approached him about being a guest on India's Ultimate Warrior a show centred on combat disciplines, he was immediately fascinated.

It stands out in the reality genre for its purpose and genuineness, and he is confident that the series will be well received by viewers.

Vidyut, who will host the show, also revealed that playing the host as the Dojo master was enlightening for him, especially because he has first-hand experience with it. When he first started training, the goal behind the show was to put the students through a series of difficulties that required mental strength in order for them to execute the physical feats.

The show promises a unique visual presentation unseen and unheard before in the reality genre in India, with a one-of-a-kind concept paired with well-researched, comprehensive challenges spanning from Kalaripayattu to Krav Maga, the Force actor shared.

To offer India its next Mahayoddha, Base Films' series has Dojo master Vidyut commanding a "battle camp" with teachers like Shifu Kanishka, who developed his own style out of his love for martial arts. Shifu Kanishka Combatives, Shaun Kober, a former Australian Army rugby player, Bi Nguyen, AKA Killer Bee, an expert in Muay Thai, one of the world's most difficult martial arts, and Mykel Hawke, a former US Army Special Forces officer.
