Director Shankar has been juggling between the sets of Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 and Ram Charan's RC 15 (tentative title) for a while. The former is expected to hit the screens this year, if everything goes well. According to sources, the crew has completed its schedules in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh recently.

Kamal and Kajal Aggarwal were part of the recent schedules and some of the stills featuring the Ulaganayagan arriving to the set in a private chopper went viral on social media a few weeks ago.

We have learnt that the team is planning to head to South Africa next to film a few crucial episodes. They are also likely to go to Thailand after wrapping up the portions in Africa. Though the film's release was said to be in early 2024, it looks like the big budget entertainer will make it to theatres after September.

There are possibilities of the project hitting the screens as a Deepavali release if things go by makers' plans. Movie buffs are curious to know if the much-awaited sequel might have a clash with some other biggie for the festival season.

Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are bankrolling the project which stars Rakul Preet, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Samuthirakani among others in key roles. The movie marks the second collaboration between Kamal and Anirudh after Vikram. This is the musician's first outing with Shankar. Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing while Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman have been cranking the camera.

Meanwhile, RC 15 might be released at the Sankranti festival in 2024. There are high expectations on the movie as it is Charan's ambitious project to hit the screens after Rajamouli's RRR.
