Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 is also having a release in Telugu but sadly, there is not much of a buzz in the Telugu states.
Indian 2 is Shankar's biggie that features the legendary Kamal Haasan in a lead role. The action drama is all set to hit the screens on July 12, 2024, and there is a solid buzz for the film in the Tamil industry. The makers are also extensively promoting the film in Bollywood. But sadly, the buzz in the Telugu film circles for this film, with the title Bharateeyudu 2, is relatively low.
The trailer caught the imagination of many, but still, there is not enough buzz created for a Kamal Haasan film that used to generate in Telugu states. There are multiple reasons for this. One of them is Ram Charan's fans. As Shankar was also making Game Changer with Ram Charan as the lead, he gave more time to Indian 2 and delayed Game Changer.

The film has been in the making for the last three years and is yet to lock its release date. Seeing all this, the Telugu fans have been trolling Indian 2 and Shankar for the longest time. This has automatically created a low buzz for the film among the youth.
On the other hand, the rates for which the Telugu rights were quoted were also high. Films of Tamil stars only click when they get a solid talk after the release. Though Shankar is a massive star and Kamal Haasan is loved by many, there is not much happening business-wise in Telugu states.
One of the distributors from the Guntur region tells us that not many buyers are interested in the Telugu rights of the film. That is the reason a few areas were sold for nominal prices like under Rs 5 crore.
The success of Indian, aka Bharateeyudu in Telugu, will be one factor for the audience to watch the sequel, but most of today's Telugu audience are not much aware of Kamal Haasan. That is also one of the reasons that the first part of Bharateeyudu is being re-released by the makers.
The music of the film has not created any sensation to date. So, in Telugu, Indian 2 will take a good start, depending on word of mouth. We need to see how this film fares in Telugu states. Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh play vital roles in Indian 2.
