Indian 2 out on OTT: The sequel to the hit 1996 film Indian, it features a star-studded cast including Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, SJ Suryah, and others.

Indian 2, the recently released Tamil film starring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role, is now available for streaming on Netflix. The film is written and directed by Shankar and backed by Lyca Productions.

Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film Indian which had Kamal Haasan play the lead roles in dual characters. It was directed by Shankar and was a smashing hit. Following this, the duo joined hands once again for Indian 2.
However, the film could not recreate the magic when it first released in theatres on July 12. The film opened to negative criticism from fans and critics. Now, after its theatrical run, the film is available on Netflix for streaming. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Apart from Kamal Haasan, the film also features Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Kalidas Jayaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Jagan, Samuthirakani, and others.
It is to be noted that Indian 3 is also in the making which will be set against the pre-Independence time. Actors like Kajal Aggarwal and SJ Suryah are expected to have more screen time in the third instalment. A glimpse of sorts of Indian 3 has been attached to the ending of Indian 2. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Indian is available on Aha and OTTplay Premium to stream. The film follows freedom fighter Senapathy who turns into a vigilante against corruption. Indian featured Kamal Haasan in dual roles as Senapathy and his corrupted son Chandru, who gets killed on the hands of his father.

The film featured Ambika, Nedumudi Venu, Manisha Koirala, Senthil, Goundamani and others. Indian went on to become one of the iconic commercial films created by Shankar and Kamal Haasan. Many drew comparison to the first part, following the release of Indian 2. Indian music was scored by AR Rahman.
