However, recently it was rumorued that the legend has a limited screen time in the film.
In a recent interaction with the media, Shankar finally reacted the rumours which suggest that Kamal Haasan has a limited screen time in Indian 2. The filmmaker, who rubbished the reports, confirmed that Kamal Haasan will appear throughout the running time of the film. Interestingly, the master craftsman also added that the Ulaganayagan’s character, Senapathy will make the audience feel his presence even in the scenes where he is not physically present. Shankar further added that Indian 2 is all about Senapathy.
Earlier, Kamal Haasan surprised the cine-goers by stating that he prefers Indian 3, the upcoming third installment in the franchise, over Indian 2. The legendary actor’s revelation left the film fanatics upset, as they felt that even the leading man was not satisfied with the second installment. The Indian 2 trailer, which received mixed reactions from audiences, had earlier left the fans of the franchise doubtful about the project. However, the leading man later pointed out that he never mentioned Indian 2 is not a good film. According to Kamal Haasan, he is a bit fonder of the third installment, which will be released in 2025.
If the reports, Indian 3 is mostly a prequel to the 1996-released first installment of the film, Indian (which is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium).
