Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Aamir Khan, Sudeep and SS Rajamouli dropped the teaser on their social media handles
It's not often that one gets to see the biggest talents of different film industries coming together for a teaser launch. For the release of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 intro, the bigwigs of Indian film industry Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Aamir Khan, Sudeep and SS Rajamouli joined forces.

All about the intro video
Kamal Haasan is seen in his iconic character Senapathy coming back to eradicate corruption. Going by the video, it looks like Senapathy has moved abroad and is finally gearing up for his return after corruption rears its ugly head in India. The video starts with the dialogue, "Wherever injustice happens, I will appear. Indian is immortal." It then gives a quick peek of how corruption has permeated into every nook and corner in the country.
Meanwhile, the hashtag 'Come back, Indian" does the rounds on social media marking his arrival. And we finally get to see Senapathy in his avatar standing in front of a portrait of freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose. The intro was released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Indian 2, long in the making
This vigilante action thriller, which is a sequel to the 1996 film, Indian, has been in the making for quite some time now. While the shoot began in 2019, it came to a grinding halt following a fatal accident on the sets in 2020. The shoot was further delayed due to the pandemic and legal disputes. Kamal Haasan, meanwhile went on to work in Lokesh Kanagaraj's blockbuster Vikram, for which he also doubled up as the producer. The shoot for Indian 2 resumed in 2022 and is now in the post-production phase.
Indian 2 cast and crew
Indian 2 features an ensemble cast comprising Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Kalidas Jayaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, George Maryan to name a few. The film will also mark the posthumous appearance of Nedumudi Venu, Vivekh, Manobala and G Marimuthu.
Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. The film is bankrolled by Subaskaran's Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
