After losing in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, India and New Zealand will be facing each other in a limited-overs series. The series will include three T20Is and as many ODIs.
Many senior players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli will not be part of the tour. For India, Hardik Pandya will be leading the T20I side in the absence of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul while Shikhar Dhawan will once again take over the ODI captaincy. Rishabh Pant will be assisting both captains during the series. Pandya, however, won't be part of the ODI squad.
Youngsters namely Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Umran Malik will be in the squad. All these players were not part of the T20 World Cup squad. Kuldeep Sen will be the only new face on the ODI team.
