Celebrities greet on the occasion of Independence Day. 

India is beaming with pride as it is celebrating its 77th Independence Day today. It was on this day when India gained independence from the atrocious British rule that took away the lives of several freedom fighters.

On this special day, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. “Best wishes on Independence Day. We pay homage to our great freedom fighters and reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling their vision. Jai Hind!,” expressed Prime Minister earlier in the day.

Soon after this, numerous celebrities present in the Indian film fraternity greeted the people of India on this joyous occasion.

Salman Khan, in a tweet today, wrote, “Wishing all a very happy Independence Day ….” In the tweet, Salman attached a picture of himself beaming with pride as he waves the Indian flag with honour and respect.

Shah Rukh Khan, too, joined the bandwagon of celebrity wishes and changed his display picture to ‘tiranga’ to celebrate the day. In a tweet today, SRK shared a snap featuring Gauri Khan and AbRam beside himself and wrote, “Now the little one has made it a tradition. Hoisting of our beloved Tricolour and wishing everyone Happy Independence Day. Love to all and may our country, India prosper and all of us with it.”

Deepika Padukone greeted her fans and well-wishers today by dropping a teaser of her upcoming patriotic movie, Fighter. “A salute to our glorious nation. Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳 #Fighter in theatres on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day. #25thJanuary2024. #SpiritOfFighter #SiddharthAnand @hrithikroshan @anilskapoor,” wrote Deepika on Instagram.

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, too, greeted their fans of this special day by sharing an adorable snap of each other standing with pride in front of the Indian National Flag. “Happy Independence Day,” wrote Vicky and Katrina on Instagram.
