IND vs PAK, T20 World Cup: Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Irfan Pathan share photos from MCG

The much-awaited game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 between India and Pakistan has begun and the Melbourne Cricket Stadium (MCG) is packed with fans from either side.

Ahead of the game, India's reserve pacers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur were seen cheering for the country from the MCG stands.

Thakur took to Twitter to share a photo along with Siraj with the caption, "Cheering from the MCG stands tonight #ICCT20WorldCup #INDvsPAK #st54 #TeamIndia #BCCI."

Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Irfan Pathan too shared pictures from the stadium. He wrote, "Electric atmosphere here at the MCG. Mother of all the battle is here #indvspak".

Talking about the clash, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first. They have gone with five batters, one all-rounder, two spinners, and three pacers.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been picked ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal as a spinner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh will be leading the pace attack.

The weather in Melbourne has been dicey since it has been raining for the past few days, however, there have been signs of relief with reports indicating it to be a cloudy evening.
