According to the latest trade reports, the film has experienced unprecedented growth of about 700 percent, a remarkable achievement for a Malayalam film in the history of the Tamil Nadu box office.

Manjummel Boys premiered worldwide without much pre-release hype. The cast and crew also did little to promote the film outside Kerala. However, thanks to terrific word of mouth, the film is breaking several barriers in finding new audiences across the country.

Based on current trends, Manjummel Boys might end its theatrical run in Tamil Nadu with a gross of about Rs 50 crore.
Written and directed by Chidambaram, Manjummel Boys is primarily set against the backdrop of Kodaikanal, making it easy for audiences in Tamil Nadu to connect with.
