Music composer Imman surprised one and all with a social media post which had a throwback picture of himself with someone who many would find it hard to believe. Actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her debut with Tamil flick Thamizhan, is seen along with the musician in the picture he had shared. The photo was clicked at a studio when Priyanka was recording for the song Ullathai Killathe in the film. The film marked the debut of Imman as a composer and PC as a singer as well. Vijay, too, had lent his voice for the song, which had lyrics by Vairamuthu. Imman tweeted, "Nostalgic Pic! Easily before two decades! A Rare click during the recording session of my Debut Film @actorvijay anna starrer #Thamizhan And it is! @priyankachopra‘s debut song as a singer."
A while ago, Priyanka Chopra had written a book, titled Unfinished, in which she had revealed the myriad experiences she went through in her life. Her experience working for her debut vehicle, Thamizhan, and working with Vijay had hit the headlines then. All praise for Vijay’s humility, the actress had said that the former's patience while interacting with several fans of his left a lasting impression on her. Thamizhan, which was directed by Majith, had screenplay by Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar.
Imman, who crooned the song Maattu Maattu in Thamizhan, later made Vijay sing again when he composed for the star's Jilla after more than a decade. The singer-musician, who has his hands full now, is elated to be scoring music for Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in Annaatthe, which will release in November. Suriya-starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Laabam are a few of the big ticket flicks he has in his kitty, apart from half-a-dozen small films he has committed to in the recent times.
