'I'll manage my height, you...,' Sushmita Sen recalls how Salman Khan encouraged her to wear heels in Biwi No. 1

Sushmita Sen and Salman Khan shared screen space in David Dhawan's Biwi No. 1. The actress recently recalled an interesting anecdote from the film set.

Sushmita Sen and Salman Khan professionally collaborated for David Dhawan's Biwi No. 1. It is one of the most entertaining movies made by the filmmaker. Both Sushmita and Salman have delivered successful movies in their careers, and Biwi No. 1 is one of them. Recently, in an interview, Sushmita went down memory lane and shared an interesting anecdote from the set of the David Dhawan directorial.

Sushmita Sen recalls a fond memory from Biwi No. 1 set

In an interview with Mashable, Sushmita Sen revealed that David Dhawan told her not to wear heels because of her co-star Salman Khan's height. Since the filmmaker gave her a suggestion, Sushmita went on to the set of Biwi No. 1 wearing flats. However, Salman Khan had an amusing reaction when he saw the actress wearing 'chappals'.

"Then Salman said, ‘Nice outfit but why are you wearing those chappals?’ So I said, ‘You’re short, na.’ He burst out laughing and said, ‘Ja na, heel pehen ke aa. I’ll manage my height; you manage yours'," recalled Sushmita.

The actress also mentioned that Salman Khan is famous for throwing his co-actor off by cracking a joke in the middle of a scene. Sushmita stated that he has done three films with Khan and he has done it on all projects.

Meanwhile, Sushmita was recently seen in Ram Madhvani's Aarya Antim Vaar. The web series was released on Disney+ Hotstar on February 9, 2024. The actress has been an integral part of the Aarya franchise since its beginning. Last year, Sushmita also featured in another OTT project, Taali. The series, directed by Ravi Jadhav, premiered on JioCinema. The actress played the role of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in Taali. She shared screen space with Ankut Bhatia and Aishwarya Narkar.

On the other hand, Salman Khan recently concluded the shoot of Bigg Boss 17. The superstar's last theatrical release was Tiger 3, which was released on Diwali 2023.
