Bollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz welcomed her first child, a baby boy, on August 1, 2023. The actress and her partner Michael Dolan named their son Koe Phoenix Dolan. It's been a few months since the birth of their child and Ileana has opened up about suffering from postpartum depression. The actress wrote about it in a lengthy Instagram post. In the caption, the actress said that going through postpartum depression is an "incredibly alienating feeling".

Ileana D'Cruz shared a selfie on Instagram and spoke about postpartum depression. The actress mentioned that between being a full-time mom and keeping house, she doesn't seem to find time for herself. Ileana added that she hasn't been one of those mothers who has immediately bounced back.

"But we just don’t talk about postpartum depression enough. It’s very real. And it’s an incredibly alienating feeling. And I’m trying every day to work on making some time to get myself feeling better (sic)," she captioned her IG post.

The actress added that a 30-minute workout and a 5-minute shower after that work wonders for her but sometimes she can't manage that as well.

When Ileana D'Cruz opened up about her pregnancy

Back in June 2023, Ileana D'Cruz spoke about her pregnancy. The actress stated that it was a very beautiful feeling. She considered herself lucky to have embarked on that journey. Ileana also mentioned that it felt lovely to have a life growing inside of her. There were days when the actress simply felt overwhelmed looking at her baby bump and getting excited to meet her child.

On the work front for Ileana D'Cruz

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ileana D'Cruz returns to the big screen with Tera Kya Hoga Lovely. The film has been directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua and backed by Sony Pictures Films India. In this movie, the actress will share screen space with Randeep Hooda and Karan Kundrra. It is set to be released on March 8, 2024.
