Poornodaya Movie Creations, founded by Edida Nageswara Rao, is a name synonymous with the golden era of Telugu cinema, having backed some of the finest films produced in the industry between the 70s and 90s including Siri Siri Muvva, Sankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam, Seethakoka Chiluka, Swayamkrushi and Swarna Kamalam. Chiranjeevi and Meenakshi Seshadri’s Apadbandhavudu was the last film to come out from the banner in 1992.

After a thirty-year-long sabbatical from the industry, the iconic banner is returning to film production with a coming-of-age comedy titled First Day First Show (FDFS). In what’s a relaunch for the banner, Edida Nageswara Rao’s granddaughter Srija Edida has taken over the reins and will continue her family legacy. Sriram Edida is presenting the movie under Srija Entertainments and Mitravinda Movies.

First Day First Show is coming from the filmmaker of Jathi Ratnalu, KV Anudeep, who has penned the story and screenplay (along with Vamsidhar Goud and Kalyan). The latter has also written the dialogues in collaboration with Vamsidhar Goud. The entertainer has two directors - Vamsidhar Goud and Lakshmi Narayana P. FDFS promises to be a hilarious story about a college going student’s attempt to acquire tickets for the first show of the movie featuring his favourite star.

Srikanth Reddy and Sanchita Bashu are cast as the film’s lead pair. FDFS’ supporting cast comprises Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Srinivas Reddy, Mahesh Achanta, Prabhas Sreenu, Gangavva, CVL Narasimha Rao, Vamsidhar Goud and Sai Charan Bojja. Radhan is on board as the composer with Prasanth Ankireddy and Madhav roped in as the cinematographer and the editor respectively.
