Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt – one of the power couples of Bollywood – were cheering for India at the ICC World Cup Final 2023 last evening. However, in an unexpected turn of events, India ended up being on the losing side despite giving their all. More than a billion people were in tears soon after it was officially announced that Australia defeated India by a margin of 6 wickets. While Indians remain gloomy, Alia Bhatt has dropped a motivational message for Indian cricket lovers.

Taking to Instagram Stories today, Alia Bhatt wrote, “Our hearts are forever WON! Well played team India. We hold our heads up high.” Alia, for the unfamiliar, is the third most followed actor in India on Instagram after Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Shraddha Kapoor. Alia has more than 80.8 million Instagram followers.

Last evening, several fan pages of Alia Bhatt showed her and her husband Ranbir Kapoor wearing jerseys supporting Team India.

India Vs Australia World Cup Final 2023

In the Cricket World Cup final held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad last evening, cricketer Travis Head delivered a scintillating century, while Marnus Labuschagne played the role of the perfect anchor, notching up a gritty 50. This stellar performance propelled Australia to a 6-wicket victory over India, securing their 6th crown.

Facing a target of 241, Australia encountered a shaky beginning with Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith, while Mohammed Shami took down David Warner, leaving Australia struggling at 47/3. However, the narrative shifted as Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne took charge, forming a resilient partnership. Labuschagne also contributed with a determined half-century, guiding Australia to victory with a solid performance.
