Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is awaiting the release of Kaduva, was spotted addressing the press in Hyderabad, recently. The Malayalam actor-filmmaker made references to his prospective endeavours while discussing movies, besides other areas of his interests.
On making his Telugu debut, Prithviraj said, he has already been given a film by a few top Tollywood producers. "I'm delighted about it. I might soon direct a Telugu movie in addition to acting."
Bankrolled by Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions, Kaduva is directed by Shaji Kailas and will hit screens on June 30.
Touted to be an action thriller, Kaduva's supporting cast includes Arjun Ashokan, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Seema, Dileesh Pothan, and Vijayaraghavan, Aju Varghese, Sudev Nair, Rahul Madhav, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Priyanka Nair.
Based on a script by Jinu Abraham, Kaduva sees Shaji Kailas returning to the director's chair after a brief hiatus. Prithviraj essays a rich and influential planter named Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan, who is at loggerheads with cops.
While Vivek Oberoi plays the principal antagonist, Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead in the film that has cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, on the other hand, has Prabhas' most-hyped, Salaar, in the pipeline. "Prabhas' dates and his schedule are currently a little hazy, but I would never want to pass up the opportunity to work with a star like him. I am waiting for director Prashanth Neel to sort out the dates," he said.
In an interview with the Hindu, Prithviraj had said, he's extremely involved in the films he produces and acts in. The Mozhi actor is open to even do a web series. “OTT is a fantastic platform and I am looking forward to doing it. I disagree with people who tell me that the OTT phenomenon spells doom for theatre releases.”
