Munawar Faruqui has reacted to Elvish Yadav's bail in the snake venom case. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber was arrested on Sunday, March 17, and was later released on bail. Munawar has expressed empathy for Elvish and said that he is happy that he was granted bail.
When a paparazzi asked Munawar about his feelings about Elvish being granted bail, he replied, "I know how it feels. Good news hai (it’s good news). So, I’m happy (for Elvish)." Munawar's empathy for Elvish is natural, as he knows what it's like to be caught in legal cases and face arrest. Munawar spent over a month in the Indore Central Jail in 2021 before the Supreme Court granted him bail in a case about offending religious sentiments.

Elvish was granted bail on a Rs 50,000 bail bond on Friday, March 22. Unfortunately, owing to a lawyers' strike, Elvish's bail hearing could not be heard on Thursday and got pushed to Friday. However, the court granted him relief via bail before Holi.
Speaking to the media on his client's behalf, Elvish's lawyer, Prashant Rathi, said, "Our arguments in this case were that he was falsely accused, and no substance was obtained from him or his friends that violated the NDPS Act. The court granted bail to Elvish Yadav and two of his friends after payment of two sureties of Rs 50,000 each."
Elvish was taken into custody by Noida Police after he was charged with criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code and under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Elvish allegedly confessed to his crimes to NDTV a day after his apprehension. But no formal statement was made public.
