Also starring Juancho Hernangómez, the NBA drama from Netflix is directed by Jeremiah Zagar
When Adam Sandler decides to step up and showcase his true potential in a movie that isn’t a whacky comedy, big things can be expected. Netflix has dropped the official trailer of Hustle, and it looks promising.
The trailer starts off with introducing Sandler’s Stanley Sugerman, a 76ers scout who has been on the road for a long time searching for talent. With the aspirations of coaching one day, he finds a talent named Bo Cruz in Spain and decides to bring him to the home of the NBA.
The trailer then showcases clips from the movie that shows the scouts life, the things he has given up for his job as well as a Spanish nobody who has to try and prove his worth. It also shows the morale breaking scenario’s of Bo and how Sandler decides to prep him for the draft. Giving out a feeling of movies such as the Rocky, we also see the two train against all the odds.
The trailer hints at a sports drama that will captivate the audience and be especially engaging to sports and basketball fans. Fans of Sandler can also expect a version of the actor that was seen in movies such as Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems.
LeBron James and Maverick Carter, who knows their trade when it comes to basketball, produced the movie along with Sandler. The movie also features a number of basketball stars including Boban Marjanović, Anthony Edwards, Tobias Harris, Aaron Gordon, Seth Curry, and Trae Young. Utah Jazz player Juancho Hernangómez appears as the underdog in the movie co-starring Sandler.
Written by Will Fetters and Taylor Materne, and directed by Jeremiah Zagar, the movie will start streaming on Netflix on June 8.
