Mahesh helms the actioner also starring Mime Gopi, Kabir Duhan Singh and Chitra Shukla
After Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, Sudheer Babu’s third collaboration with Mohana Krishna Indraganti, he’s turning a cop again with the psychological crime thriller Hunt. Helmed by Mahesh, the film is bankrolled by V Anand Prasad under Bhavya Creations. Manjula, Chitra Shukla, Kabir Duhan Singh, Mounika Reddy too essay important roles in the same.
The teaser of Hunt was out today. In the glimpse, Sudheer Babu is introduced as a cop Arjun going through a therapy while facing an identity crisis. There are two sides to him - Arjun A and Arjun B and the cop is unaware of his dual identity. No traits, skills of Arjun A match the other side but he has a job to finish as an officer too. How does Arjun find a balance between his personal crisis and work?
A medico even informs Arjun - “He was Arjun A and you are Arjun B, sharing the same body. You don’t know your own past, but you’re just as lethal.” Srikanth and Bharath play colleagues to Sudheer Babu at work while Manjula is cast as a medico. The story is about Arjun fighting his inner demons and external villains at once. The psychological dimension to Arjun adds intrigue to the thriller premise.
Arul Vincent’s cinematography and Ghibran’s pulsating score lend an edge to the thriller. This is the second time Sudheer Babu is cast as a cop after Indraganti’s V. His performance in the latter went on to receive praise. Mime Gopi, Goparaju Ramana, Supoorna Malkar, Sanjay Swaroop, Ravi Varma, 'Gemini' Suresh, Abhijit Poondla, Kotesh Mannava, Satya Krishnan also essay key roles in Hunt.
Prawin Pudi has edited the film which has action choreography by Europe-based Renoud Favero and Wing Chun Anji. Vivek Annaamalai is the art director while Raaga Reddy is the costume designer. Anne Ravi is the executive producer. Chitra Shukla, the film’s female lead, was last seen in Uniki, a rural drama, that will be streaming on aha later this weekend.
