Huma Qureshi has wrapped up filming for Bayaan and is now gearing up for a key role in the third season of Delhi Crime.
It appears that Huma Qureshi's career consists of cop procedural dramas. The actor is currently preparing to shoot for Delhi Crime Season 3 after finishing filming Bikas Mishra's Bayaan. According to Mid Day reports, rumour has it that the actor, who is the newest cast member of Shefali Shah's International Emmy-winning series, will begin a jam-packed schedule in the nation's capital before the end of the month.
According to the tabloid source, the unit has been shooting important scenes at a Malad studio in Mumbai for the past 10 days. The crew at Vrundavan Studio has constructed a police station set. A source also claimed that Shefali, who is returning as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi and a crew of 150 shot multiple indoor sequences there.
Now that filming in Mumbai is complete, director Tanuj Chopra will take his unit to Delhi, the location that has provided the setting for the series' bleak narrative in seasons one and two.
The insider added that the 25-day schedule will start in Delhi on September 21, and that stint will include Huma. After finishing Bayaan the actor would immediately go to Delhi Crime. Following this month-long schedule, the crew and actors will go back to Mumbai to film a short scene.
Meanwhile, Peeping Moon reported that Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain—all regulars on the show—are joining Shefali, as well as a few new faces playing important roles. Tanuj Chopra, the returning director, will once again lead the upcoming season, with Sudhanshu Saria, who most recently helmed Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor, attached as one of the main writers.
Production on the show will officially begin later this week in Delhi, after three months of pre-production. The entertainment portal also revealed that the upcoming season will explore the topic of human trafficking, although the narrative's specifics remain undisclosed. However, whether it will be based on actual events or totally made up is still up in the air. Just so you know, Delhi Crime's first season dealt with the fallout from the 2012 Delhi gang rape, while installment two zeroed in on the infamous Chaddi Baniyan Gang.
Netflix plans to release Season 3 of Delhi Crime in the middle of 2025.
