Huma Qureshi is one of the most promising actresses in the film industry. She was recently seen in the ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium) series Mithya - The Darker Chapter. The actress has now Toxic and Jolly LLB 3 in the pipeline. Amid this, in a new interview, Huma opened up about Maharani Season 4.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Huma Qureshi discussed OTT platforms. Although she has her love for the big screen, the actress credited OTT for her “reinvention”, especially Maharani.

Making an announcement for Maharani 4 the actress shared, “I can clearly define my career pre and post-Maharani. That was the show where people really stood up and took notice of my potential. Its success made people imagine me in roles that they couldn’t before. And now, Maharani is going to have a season 4."

However, she did not disclose release date of the new season.

What happened in Maharani 3?

Maharani Season 3 was released on March 7 on Sony LIV. You can watch it with your OTTPlay Premium subscription. Huma returned as the eponymous maharani or queen of Bihar, a Chief Minister who actually cares about the state in the political series.

Maharani Season 3 follows Rani Bharti, the now-imprisoned Chief Minister of Bihar. Behind bars, she is plotting revenge. Rani Bharti's political enemies do not know that she spent her time in jail in a revenge plot. The season shows Rani sowing the seeds of discord among those who thrive after Bheema Bharti's death. The season also explores Bihar's illegal alcohol trade, which holds the key to a major political gain.

Maharani 3 received positive reviews beacuse of its riveting plot, captivating storyline, relatable cinematography, and cast's amazing acting skills.

Headlined by Huma Qureshi as Rani Bharti, the archetypal Queen of Bihar, the series also features Sohum Shah, Uday Atroliya, Kani Kusruti, Amit Sial, Pramod Pathak, Vineet Kumar, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Arnav Singh, Anushka Kaushik, Neeraj Kaushik, Pranay Narayan, Sukumar Tudu, Vishwa Bhanu, Vineet Kumar, Neha Chauhan, Robin Das, Anuja Sathe and Tanu Vidyarthi in equally important roles.
