Hugh-Jackman starrer sci-fi flick Reminiscence is all set for its theatrical release in India on August 27. It was announced by Warner Bros Pictures that is bankrolling the film.
Co-starring Rebecca Ferguson and Thandiwe Newton, the plot unfolds the story of Nick Bannister, played by Hugh Jackman, a private investigator who helps clients recover their lost memories of the tantalising yet ‘darkly alluring world of the past.’ His life takes an unexpected turn when a new, mysterious client Mae played by Ferguson enters his life. Bannister falls for her but things get twisted when she goes missing. He later finds himself in the face of a dangerous conspiracy. It gets grittier and darker, hinged on the crucial but thorny question of where to draw the line when it comes to holding onto the past and people you need to let go of.

Jackman has said in a media statement that Reminiscence grapples with the ‘idea of memory and nostalgia as something that is potentially addictive’.
Bringing in the context of the dreary post-pandemic reality, the Wolverine actor said that we are all living in a changing world, on the threshold of a new world order post the pandemic, and the uncertainty of it all, makes it a really ‘interesting time’, in terms of where to head to in life. The Hollywood superstar added that he hopes that the movie will strike a chord with the audience at a juncture when one is torn between looking back at the past and looking forward to making new memories in life.
