Bratya Basu is all set with his new gangster film, Hubba, with Mosharraf Karim in the lead. Indraneil Sengupta plays a police officer in the film. On Friday, the teaser of the film was dropped.

The 40-second video shows Mosharraf Karim as a ruthless ganglord in an area. A police team is seen gathering information about the goon. It starts with Hubba’s dialogue, “If a dog doesn’t bark, what dog is it?” Hubba is also seen spending time with women in the nighttime.

Shyamal Das, aka Hubba Shyamal, was once the terror of Hooghly. He was called Hooghly's Dawood Ibrahim, and lots of cases, including murders and drug smuggling, were attributed to him. However, he got bail every time the police arrested him. He once wanted to fight the election also. His corpse was discovered in a canal in Baidyabati in 2011. Bratya Basu has made his film Hubba based on this person’s life. Mosharraf Karim, the famous Bangladeshi actor, plays the titular role. Loknath Dey is also a cop in the film. Some other eminent theatre personalities will also act in the film.
Mosharraf Karim came to Kolkata last October and completed the shooting. Firdausul Hasan's Friends Communications produced the film. This is also the second film by the director-producer duo of Bratya and Firdausul. They made the film Dictionary previously. The producer posted the teaser video and wrote, “Once upon a time, Hubba showed Death’s dance.” Bratya Basu said that the film has been made as a mix of thriller and comedy.
