Shahid Kapoor is currently busy promoting his movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. His peers have been nominated for Oscars many times. Thus, at the recently held HT City interview, Shahid was asked what would his reaction be if he did bag an Oscar award. Apart from being nominated, many of Shahid’s co-stars, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt, have worked in Hollywood too. The actor spoke on the same as well.

Shahid’s reaction

When Shahid was asked about winning Oscars, he said, “That for me is like, ho gaya toh very good. Nahi hua, no problem. That’s not my aim in life.” Further speaking on working in Hollywood, Shahid added, “I’m very happy working here, doing this for my fans and learning something as an actor.”

When Shahid was hooked to Oscars

It was back in 2013 that Shahid was hooked to Oscars. He spent his 32nd birthday watching the Academy Awards. Back then, he was shooting for Phata Poster Nikla Hero. He confirmed the same to Hindustan Times saying, “I am really looking forward to the Oscars. That’s how I plan to start my birthday.”

The actor was on sets for nearly 16 hours so that he could go back home and celebrate his birthday watching Oscars. This was the time when Irrfan Khan’s Life Of Pi was nominated for the awards and eventually, set history by winning many awards that night. After his birthday and the Oscars, Shahid then took a couple days off and moved on to his next, R… Rajkumar.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya

Shahid will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya next. The actor plays the role of a scientist in the movie. Interestingly, he falls in love with a robot, played by Kriti Sanon. It gets to the point that he wants to get married to her but at the same time, he realizes the kind of obstacles that await them, including her getting short circuit and buzzing off at any given point in time. The movie will release in theatres on February 9.
